Bundy by Selmer French Horn Single Case

Bundy by Selmer French Horn Single, picture of bell

The photographer was trying to show the scratches in the bell (lower left of front bell as well as inside the bell. As you can see there is still plenty of reflective finish left on this instrument as it reflected the ceiling fan, the photographer, sheet, and other items! The light area on the far right is a reflection of light from a window and is not part of any blemishes.
Bundy by Selmer French Horn Single

USED Bundy by Selmer French Horn Single. Fair Condition--Cosmetic, does not affect the sound of this horn! Case (good condition), mouthpiece (Vincent Bach II, discolored) and lyre included. The left bottom back foot has been pushed in, but is still solid and functional. It has been professionally cleaned. Serial number begins with 459xxx. It was possibly manufactured sometime between 1979 and 1986. If you are looking for a horn to fit your budget and are not too worried about dings or dents (which usually happens with new players!), this is the one for you. Special sidewalk sale price! All rotors work, all valves slides move…3 valve slides on front and one on back. Finish on valve slides are good. All rotors work smoothly. There are major dents in top edge of tubing ( Click here to see a picture of dent in top tubing ) near the left hand side. There is a dent in tubing from mouthpiece. Finish is very worn on left edge where left hand rests. Quite a few dents and dings. Interior of bell has a major double scratch approximately 2-1/2" long each from rim into bell. There is a noticeable scratch extending into interior of bell. None of these affect the playing or sound of this instrument. Also, inspite of the dings, dents, and scratches, their is still quite a bit of reflective quality left in the finish. This is an outright purchase, as is, with no warranty. Because this is a special for our sidewalk sale, this item does not qualify for our rent to own program.

Vintage Pan American Baritone

Vintage Pan American Baritone Engraving
Here is a picture of part of the engraving. It is all silver/no color. The colors you see in the picture and on the right of the picture represent a reflection of other things in the room unfortunately.

Vintage Pan American Baritone dent 1
Here is one of two dents.

Vintage Pan American Baritone dent 2
Here is the smaller of the two dents on the other side of the horn. (Thumbsize dent.)
USED $695 -- Vintage Pan American Baritone Horn. Very good condition. Silver. "Pan American Made in Elkhart Ind. U.S.A." with floral emblishment around name is engraved on bell. As is the rectangle that encompasses the name (it has a zigzag rectangular border, with curved left and right sides). This artwork is approximately 8-1/2" high and 5" wide at the widest point. Serial number (P32xxx) places this horn possibly between 1926 (P24900) and 1927 (P33500). This baritone is perfect if you play in a "Salvation Army" Band or for any "garage" band. This horn has a wonderful sound. There are many small dings on bell and tubing. All supports are intact. There is a thumb-sized dent on lower tubing near bottom of horn. There is also a little larger dent on other side. The 3 valves and slides work. Even though it has been professionally cleaned, the slides have slightly tarnished again, but can be easily cleaned for smoother removal.

Vintage Pan American Baritone Case, poor condition
Original case. Poor condition on the outside. Hinges work great as does the handle. It is just the outside ends of the case that have taken a beating.

Vintage Pan American Baritone Case, poor condition
Even though the outside is poor, you can see that the inside of the case is in much better condition. The case still protects the instrument inside. Original leather straps.
